Tail of the Dragon Thread
One of our employees recently took his WRX to Deals gap and had a blast on the Tail of the Dragon.
Anyone have interesting stories, images or video from the Dragon? Post up your 240SX Deals Gap content. 318 curves in 11 miles sounds like a blast to me!

The dragon used to be sweet until people started coming from everywhere and killing themselves on it. The place is also loaded down with old guys on Goldwings who want to go 10mph. Even if you get lucky and don't get stuck behind a Goldwing then you'll likely be pulled over because the cops are everywhere now.

It's about an hour from me. I haven't gone in a while because of the traffic. My car is probably not going to be roadworthy until winter so I may not make it down there this year.

I don't need to take a road fast to enjoy it, at least not all the time Plus I don't think my car will be ready for hard cornering anytime soon. Edit : just realized what mishimoto meant.... I'm an idiot lol |

I wouldn't drive that far to go to the dragon, honestly. It's become pretty lame in the last decade or so. Some idiot just killed himself the other day. I want to say there have been several this year, so that just adds to the amount of police they have there. Factor in the Porsche, Corvette, motorcycle, and Miata clubs that are there frequently and you have a recipe for a bad time.

I'll be hitting it up for the first time in my car here shortly. Gotta wait on some more suspension pieces to come in. Its about 40 minutes from me. A group of us go up there every couple weeks.

We have some nice back roads in PA here that I enjoy. Likely not comparable to the dragon though.

I've been to the dragon a few times, but its been years. Haven't ever gone in a car though, it's always been on a bike. MyS14 will be back together and on the road tomorrow, maybe ill plan a trip up there and reunite with the mountain. It really is beautiful up there, and I highly reccommend it.
