Well, I really wanted a skyline, but I couldn't afforded. So I settled for my second favorite.

About this time last year I was really wanting an Integra GS-R. I just had to have one. But, being a college student and all and no real job, it was a bit out of my reach financially...even though I know my parents would help where they could. I was driving an Accord that my mom gave me my senior year. She was now driving the my dad's Z-71 that I used to drive (10th-11th grade)...yeah, I know what you're thinking--spoiled.....you're probably right:biggrin:. Anyway...this past May, my mom was getting tired of the gas-guzzling 4x4 and wanted something easier to drive. So she bought a cool little sports car that I've never really given much thought....remember, I was all about getting a GS-R. I looked over it and snuck it out for a test drive a few times.....and actually talked her into letting me autox it "just one time." Well, that got me hooked...I had to have that car. The RWD was just too fun to continue my quest for a FWD GS-R...who cares if it was 15hp weaker and 150lbs. heavier....I wanted it bad. So I traded with my mom....and it turns out, that was her plan the whole time. She wanted the practacality and comfort of her Accord back, but she wasn't just gonna take it from me after giving it to me as sort of a senior year present....so she bought a car she knew I'd fall in love with so that I would trade with her.....is she cool or what?!? I haven't thought about a GS-R since that first autox in the 240 over 6 months ago. It's my baby now.:)

ex-gf had a sr-powered 95. it was amazing. then i went to japan, and fell in love with the cars there(especially the silvia, skyline, and a few others), so i sold the neon, sold the del sol, and bought my 240 and started modding.

I had one week to find a car (long story) so me and my friend (with a 450hp 300zxtt) went around every day test driving everythin we could think of that I might like, neon, integra, eclipse, 3000gt, mustang, trans am, ect ect...And after I drove all those we found a 96 240sx with only 43000 miles on it (the last car on the test drive list). I had never heard of them before but my friend said they were really cool. So I took her for a test drive and it was better then anything I had driven so far...and I only stalled out once I couldn't really drive stick when I bought it 2 months but I was out of time and it was better than anything else I had seen so I got it. Now that I actually know how to drive it, I LOVE IT. Every check I get goes into it, 1st of the month goes to payment, 2nd goes to a mod...atleast thats how its goin so far.

Kinds stuck with it. I want a Honda Prelude or a Volks GTI-VR6.. but I came short of cash. I was looking at a Integra GSR sedan at the time I was buying my car, but it needed to much work done to it, and the milage was higher as well.

i had a 90 S10 truck, and i was planning on dropping a corvette engine into it, but it handled like poo, i was young, and didn't know anything about cars, so i thought i'd save up a lot of money, learn about engines and swaps, but in the mean time, get something more comfortable with A/C and power steering.

my friend told me about his friend's dad selling a older Mazda MX-6, and i thought hey, it will only be temporary. i go over to his house to see this "Mazda" they just bought, walked in the back yard and said forget a Mazda, i want that thing! and they said umm, that's it, that's what we're selling. i said what, that nissan.....whatever it is? that car right there? yeeep. i died and went to heaven, only $2500, nice interior, sport package, rear wing, rear wheel drive, 5 speed. so i got stuck with a little "import" car until i could buy a camaro or another S10 and fix it up. well, i've had it since may of 99, so that should tell ya it's here to stay

I had to get rid of the 92 Ford Explorer. My buddies dad is the V.P. of a Volvo dealership. I told him I wanted 5sp import sports car. 3 day's later I had my ride.

Straight trade and the nice guy installed a 6 disc cd changer in the trunk, free. What a guy.

My car the day after purchase.http://www.geocities.com/pidgejas/other/benkonkin1.jpg

I really wanted a 300zx at the time, but I saw it's little brother in the classifieds, so I figured hey, why not. A few weeks later I was hooked. The heck with a 300zx, this thing is light, and it handles!

In '97 I had finally decided it was time for another car, I originally wanted to pick up a used '95 Prelude Vtec. After doing alot of searching and pricing I decided that I might as well buy a new car, get a full warranty, and not pick up someone elses problem. Unfortunatly the new Prelude was brought out that year and was alot more expensive than previous models. So I shopped around and test drove every sport coupe on the market. As soon as I got to the 240sx I knew it was the one. It was much more fun to drive than anything I had test drove, and cheaper than alot of those other cars too. I test drove everything, some of them twice at different dealers, base line, fully loaded you name it. All in all it took about 3 months of shopping every weekend and I ended up choosing the 240 hands down.

4 years later I still LOVE this car! Im not sure how I got lucky enough to fall into one but I am glad it all worked out that way

What I really want is a little tiny car (83 Mazda GLC) with a 3 or 4 hundred hp 350 in it. The ultimate sleeper. Or a stock fast car. However, I like to go off-road, and haul stuff, and jump, so I need a truck. If I had my way, I'd have both. I was looking at 4x4s, but my dad found my Nissan in Idaho for a #### good price. 5,000 for 49,000 miles. So, after test driving it, I found out it went a lot faster than my 87 Mazda B2000 pickup. (However, my Mazda was a lot more comfortable, and I have a thing for Mazdas.) Anyway, ended up getting it. The frame is wonderfully built for abuse. Nissan seems to build frames as if they were setting up a desert racer. The engine was powerful. I liked the styling. And now that I have it, I like it a lot. I wish it hadn't been in an accident before I had it, because the body isn't as tight as an unwrecked vehicle. I like the truck a lot though. And now that I'm modifying it, I'm liking it even more. Semi-raced an Acura Integra tonight, even with the clutch slipping a little. Didn't beat him, but was only a car length behind, and he was pretty impressed. But when I get the cam, and maybe a few other assorted odds and ends, I'm gonna leave his ass in the dust.

Family bought a 90 Stanza XE 5 speed new, and since then we've all been hooked... Friend (nismo270r) gets a 96 S14, and I was impressed with that, and knew I had to have a 240... Shortly after he got it, I started realizing what the term "JDM" is all about, and fell in love with the Silvia and all variations of it.. March of 99 I bought my first 240, a canadian 92 LE hatch with HICAS...
Came time to replace it, because honestly, the thing had cancer... it wasn't visibile, and looked alright, but the rust was wanting to come through the paint in a big way, and I needed a timing chain job, paintjob, body work, and a million other little things, so I decided to just trade it on an S14... I was aiming for a 95, but found a 97 on the net in TN... closest S14 for sale, so I drove down there one weekend and traded it. . It's an LE as well, but no ABS, no VLSD, and of course, no HICAS. . but... I have a working (nice, IMO) stereo, good paint (not flawless... but good hehe), my "Silvia conversion" 5 lug swap. . everything. . haha I didn't (and still don't) care about the lack of ABS... but LSD needs to be addressed... Anyway bla bla bla etc. .
that's how I got where I am today. . hehe. .

yup.

This one will kick all you're stories to the curb.... ready?

It all happen in June I went to see fast and furious you know 'cause every import fan saw it. ( I hope) I didn't have a car at the time and I just got my license a month earlier. So you know I was itching to get behind the wheel. Anyway I was watching the movie and I see purple car I never seen before. I like how it looked and how it kicked that Rx7's ass. I didn't know too much about the car other then I already liked it.

Around august my boy told me he just bought a intergra LS for a good price. Then he goes and tells me he saw the car in the movie I liked so much. He did test drove before I did (bastard). So he tells me $3,200 for it. Lucky me I had the dough I worked my ass of to save up. One day after I see 95 black 240sx in my neighborhood. I saw it and that did it for me 2 days later I bought the car at $2,900. I know it's not a 98 but is close enough for me.

What I was thinking to get was a 94 or 95 CIVIC that's right boys and girls a CIVIC and turbo charge it. Because I wanted to show people that CIVICS can be fast too! Before that I was dead set on a GSX eclipse. I know it would of taking me longer to a GSX but that would of been okay by me. So there you have it. That one of the reasons I have Ricer on my screen name. Now me and the 240sx are best of pals.

i don't really care for modding my car for MAX horsepower or anything besides gettin a deep growl and hittin at least 14.5 1/4 mile thats about it...i more into gettin the sound system up and running and gettin the paint job and silvia conversion...like the looks more...then maybe one day when i i get spanked really bad by an ####### racer then yeah i'll go turbo up the fortie! girls like the looks...they don't care for the speed hehe...except for a few...

My 240 is a Street Mod autox beast in the works.
Plans include a CA18DET tuned to at least 270 and up to 300 hp.
But right now, I'll settle for STS with just suspension mods.

Well, I had been looking for a car for a month or two, was considering buying a new Saturn or Focus or something. Then I get a call from my sister saying a friend of hers in Florida was selling an older Nissan for $1200. She drove it, had it checked out, said it was in decent shape so I sent the check. A white '89 SE auto fastback. Drove it home to Nevada from Florida and was hooked So hooked I sold it the next year to buy a '92 SE 5spd fastback, and realized the insane performance difference between the two. I'm satisfied with the car, don't plan on getting something else (unless a sweet deal on a 300zx or something falls into my lap). Though, one of my other sister's just got a WRX, and I can't handle being the second fastest in the family. So, yah, hopefully turbo next summer :-)
