Whats up I'm new here to Zilvia and got a few questions about one of my recent purchases, I bought a 95 240 SE with a SR20det swap. I'm new to 240's and not to sure what route to go with my suspension problem. I want to get a full suspension kit from coilovers all the way to adjustable tie rods. I've been checking out this suspension kit forsale on www.yamatogarage.com it seems like a good deal, am I wrong? For the coilovers I'm pretty clueless I dont really need a top of the line set, just a nice set for pitchin it sideways when I'd like too. I got about $1,200-$1,300 to spend, shoot me some ideas and sugestions, I'd greatly appriciate it! Thanks.

You can get by just fine on some Megan or Stance coilovers. If your sole purpose is to just get sideways cheap then don't worry about quality too terribly much.

For arms and suspension linkages I would look at SPLParts.com.

not to start crap in my second post but that is bs. buy quality if you can the coilovers make a big difference in drifting (spring rates, bound, reboud, valveing). For drifting in your price range I suggest MAX or powered by max however you like to say it. They come with front and rear camber plates stock and are specifically designed for drifting

plus for $60 extra (i highly suggest getting this) they will throw in a set of 6kg springs. the spring rates for these are 10kg front and 8kg rear and that is reaaallllllll f'ing stiff so your butt will be happy if you swap out the 6kg's in the rear and move the 8's to the front plus that is what alot of other companies like stance run.

o and if you blow out a shock they have replacements for like $100 thats pretty damn good

Sounds good.. I've checked out both I like the Stance's myself, cost a pretty penny though.. Monooxide SPLParts.com doesn't have a package deal like yamatogarage though or do they?

I was wondering the same question. I do see that isis has a package which is less expensive compared to the yamato package does anyone have any good suggestions other than "You get what you pay for!"

While I do appreciate you trying to kindly shoot down my advice. He has ~$1,300 to spend. This being said, people still manage to drift on stock suspension, so I recommend he gets some cheap coils and some RUCA's and whatever else this money can obtain him. He learns on that, if he doesn't wreck the car then step to some more serious coils when he is ready.

now theres some decent advice. in your first post it more or less seemed like you were saying that the suspension really dosn't matter that much in drifting so get cheapo parts. I'm glad we cleared that up.
