how strong are the struts; as to say how heavy is the Q45 hood? What about their condition, were they holding the hood when removed? Do you happen to have the studs for the opposite ends?

When I removed them I made sure the worked. The Q45 hood is as heavy or heavier than a S14 hood IMO. I removed all of the bolts and have them. Of cource it's not bolt on but should work with some fab. Alot cheaper option than the kit's out there and it's OEM.
