I've fucked a large box before, never shipped one.

UPS does not carry large boxes anymore. They sent me to a storage and moving store that had a large variety for cheap. Places like Uhaul.

You're wasting time and money using a box. Shrinkwrap it, cuts down on size, weight, and packing. I do it religiously on bumpers.

They carry smaller ones. Guess the thought of putting two together or using several small boxes to build a larger one skipped right over your feeble little brain.

Pretty sad when a car devoted forum becomes the place to find daily used articles like cardboard.

Just go to UHaul and get a wardrobe box, or two (if you have to put them together - all depends on the aero)

i used to work at a body kit company, they had custom made boxes that where huge.. people would always want us to stuff everyhting into 1 box to save on shipping instead of 2 boxes, (fenders, 4 pc. body kit etc) .. yah stuffing isnt good becuase it gets damaged.

but besides that.. U could try wrapping it and shipping grayhound or one of those bus companies, they will put it on the bus. someone suggested i do that for sideskirts but i ended up sellin em locally. fiberglass bumpers tho is too risky.. esp jdm thin fiberglass bumpers.

Since I work at UPS, I wouldn't recommend that. The best way to ship a bumper is in a wooden box made of llightweight material. I really don't know the name of that type of lightweight wood, but it is strong. We have a shipper that uses it all the time to ship auto body parts internationaly. In addition I would fill the inside up real good with filler (bubblewrap, styrofoam, newspaper, etc.). I mean, if you're shipping an aftermarket non-oem aero that cost a lot, thats the best measure to take.

Ofcourse the cheaper alternative is to use a cardboard box. If yo go that rotue, also pack it up real good with filler. I guess you can go to a body shop, dealership, etc. to find an empty bumper box if you want.

Only because people who work at UPS don't give a flying fuck about taking care of packages, they just throw the shit around like trash and make their $20/hr.

The wood in question is balsa wood.

Yeah I pretty much HATE shipping with UPS.
They break a LOT of the stuff I send.
