hmmm must be a year thing then or something I have had 3 or 4 and the box has always been on the driver side if it has abs and passenger side if it doesn't I always assumed it was just because the abs unit sits in that spot on the passenger side, are you sure yours is a non abs car and that someone didn't delete the abs prior to you owning it?
