Not as bad as the 'Fabric covered hood'... This is a close second.

paper mache should work with clear epoxy. Shouldn't burn. Problem is that in time it will separate from the metal because the paper shrink and expand more then the metal. Worth a shot. Try it.

I think it will look like the walls of a subway sandwhich shop, then you could paint your valve cover to look like a sub sandwhich, and we could call you Jerod.
