I measured how many cranks clear the roll through the 7"film plane. And I use a light meter to figure out all the rest. Need to try some more when I have a minute. here some shots i took for my previous work, took em with my bosses rig, dont know what it was or what it had...but i just used it...lol
the shot below actually got published in a local paper for construction companies... id post more, but slow camera means slow upload...lol

Obviously I'm not on par with 99% of the ppl posting here but I'm new to this. I picked up the Sony nex3 back in April, mostly to take pics of my baby girl and my son. Here's my favorite ones:
  I'm just learning to play with shutter speed and aperture so please(I'm begging you) critique and offer any advice. Btw, do the photos look small. I'm posting them on my iPad so for some reason they don't look full size.

I much rather prefer Photoshop to Lightroom, just my preference though.
