I have a 98 s14 with kouki sr and i have recently upgraded my maf to a z32 after i thought the stock one went out and I also got a power fc and since what i thought was the maf went out it hasnt ran. I got the car running for a few hours the other day when i changed the fuel filter but the next day it wouldnt run. i have also tried changing the fuel pump but that didnt work either, the car is getting spark and some fuel, not sure how much. THE CAR STARTS UP AND REVS TO ABOUT 2K THEN THE RPMS JUST DROP BACK OFF AND THE CAR DIES. So im kind of out of ideas.....

is the ECU calibrated for the Z32 MAFS.....

Yea, like I said the car randomly started and ran fine minus the crappy stock tune after I changed the fuel filter

this is seriously confusing, why would a car run after changing the fuel filter for a few hours then quit running again?

Have you tried unplugging the MAF and seeing if the car would start and idle? Sounds stupid, it should work.

Buddy S14 RB25 had a bad MAF, unplugged it, idle fine but rich, plugged it in, car died. New MAF, all is well. Boost leaks can also cause this issue. Unplug the MAF, if the car idles fine, either you have boost leaks or a bad MAF.
