I wouldn't expect the current younger crowd to appreciate the first movie as much as the rest of us.

I might be the only one but the new trailer has me wet. They are a lot better that they aren't "car" movies now. But they always need one race in the movie

The import scene today is 10x better than it was then. Another thing that helped is when the wrx/sti and evo's got brought over. The import scene started to get more cars that actual good companies supported and showed examples of clean done right cars (that had a racing back ground). It just took a while to catch on (new cars are expensive). I think drifting also helped the "quality parts" side of things because it was basically 100% Japanese influence. With companies like JUN, Bee* R, HKS, Signal, Top Secret etc making drift cars, it got there names into the American eye. People would see what products they were using. Those movies did nothing but negative impact. The nopi and hot import nights car shows were overly riced out man. The best part half the time was the scantily clad women walking around. There was maybe 1/4(if that) clean done right cars at those shows. The rest were obnoxious kits, street glow, diamond plate, nitrous foggers lol, custom car audio, tacky ass custom leather interiors and chrome wheels. Maybe I just saw things differently.

Re-read what I said. I said it was an incredibly fun time, and that's true. NOPI dumping tons of money BACK into the industry by putting on shows and a race series. What company has the capital to do that these days? Import Faceoff is the closest thing I can come up with, but even they aren't on the same level.
There's one thing that's not true in your post, and that's the part about drifting encouraging people to buy quality parts. You bag on companies like Black Widow (and I don't blame you) but you fail to mention how the majority of the drift kids are all about knockoff aero, wheels and cheap shit suspension parts, but because they trash their cars, it's accepted. In my eyes, knockoff is knockoff. I personally think the scene sucks today compared to how it used to be. More posers than ever. Anyways, I never said I took the movie seriously. I just said it made the scene explode. Granted, when the import scene blew up, it created the market for cheap parts because let's face it, the majority of people in the import scene are teens/young 20's and the income ain't necessarily there. It's whatever though. Different strokes for different folks. I found the APC ricers a helluva lot more enthusiastic than these pussy stance kids that flood the scene today.

Hell if I know, haha. There's gotta be somebody still making those awful taillights since I see em at the parts stores.

Looks pretty exciting. I have enjoyed pretty much all of them except for the second one.

Wow I can't wait to see this. I am not like a hardcore fanboy, but I do enjoy these movies for what they are (Entertainment, you know, shit you pay for to keep yourself occupied for a few hours). I think we are all old enough to understand that they will not try and execute the most dangerous shit in real life all of the time or even most of the time. I understood this from when the first one came out when I was 9. I'm not a freakin genius either, so stop acting so dense.
It's a movie, it has action scenes with computer editing in everything. ErmaGerd this is fucking news to me. Sure there are plenty of older movies that have almost no editing(I am not sure about this), such as that 9 minute scene from Bullit. The people who bitch about how unreal it is are more fun to laugh at than the crazy shit from the movies. Anyyyywayyyy, I am really excited for this movie. The second one was too damn flashy but they are all entertaining movies which is why I have them all on DVD. One of these upcoming weekends after finals, I will be having my usual "Grill/Play videogames all night" sessions with my friends. If anyone is in the Northeast Philadelphia area and wants to come over to watch all 5 F&F's, you are welcome to stop by. |

Saw it a while back and it was good as always and corny as always. Going to watch it one more time before it releases because it will be the final version but there are some good parts in there and the ending is the best. Could throw in some spoilers but im sure it wont be anything that you guys wont be expecting already lol.

Its a shame that she retired from MMA with her tail between her legs because she got her ass whooped by Cyborg Santos.
Her acting career wont last long either, she has the look but not the voice.

I just love this movie and waiting for its release madly.
I think it will be the best movie of 2013 which will break all the records of Hollywood.
