My Pearl White S15 Spec-R Aero
Hi, my name is Matt and this is my S15.
I've owned the car now around 7 months, and in that time there has been a few changes that I would like to show you. The previous owner has already spent a lot of time and effort on the Silvia with an impressive spec I can build onto. 307bhp Stock block Stock turbo HKS actuator Tomei sump Tomei Expreme manifold Tomei Expreme turbo elbow Blitz downpipe Tanabe Hyper Medalion exhaust Apexi Power intake w/ box Apexi AVC-R Apexi Power FC HDi GT2 FMIC HKS SSQV (Recirc) Spitfire coilpacks Walbro 255 fuel pump Koyo 53mm aluminium radiator Nismo thermostat Samco hoses Mocal oil cooler Kazama catch tank Hardrace engine mounts Vibra-Technics gearbox mount HEL clutch line GKTECH throttle wheel KTS engine damper Driftworks CS2 coilovers Nismo power brace Nagisa Auto strut tower brace Hardrace ARB w/ bushes Hardrace camber arms Hardrace traction arms Hardrace toe arms Hardrace tension arms GKTECH lockout kit Energy suspension/subframe/steering rack and diff bushes Tein tie rods BM57 master cylinder HEL brake lines K-Sport 8 pot calipers AP Racing 330mm discs R33 GTS-T rear brake conversion 18x10 Enkei RPF1 Origin +20mm wings Origin +30mm overfender ARC winglets GPSports rear tow hook Nardi 330mm wheel Nismo pedals R34 GTR dead pedal These are the photos of when I collected it. The first purchase was a set of new wheels, 18x9.5 et12 Silver TE37 with AD08R tyres. |

I got a great deal on the TE37, when they need new tyres I'll go wider.
The avant daily comes in useful. The RPF1's went into storage and the TE's were fitted. It was now time for it's fifth UK MOT since it was imported in 2012, it passed with no advisories ready for another year on the road. I also ordered a works bell hub for added security. |

I agree, I have some carbon canards to fit but don't want to drill holes into it. Cheers. Hello Martino. |

So the Works Bell arrived, along with a new Nardi wheel and boss.
The gearbox oil was due to be changed so this time I went with Red Line LightWeight ShockProof 75w-90 after reading a few good reviews. Greg @ Protuner said that the Hyper Medalion was quite restrictive so I picked up a damaged Tomei Expreme cheap. I'll get the weld repaired by a friend that can weld titanium. |

Hey beautiful car! Im trying to get my hands on a s15 myself, question regarding the steering wheel, can you reach the headlight and blinker and windshield wiper controls with ease with that steering wheel? I believe the deep dish one gave me a hard time reaching for the blinkers
Also hows the fluid feel in the tranny?? |

Ive been running the same tranny fluid in my sr20 s13 for 3 or 4 years now, split track and street use. It's great stuff, loved how it made the shifts feel when I first started using it, still love it and use it now
Awesome s15! It looks so 'new'! |

A small coolant leak got traced back to the water pump, that was due to be changed anyway. Picked up a new genuine pump and coolant, tube of hondabond, and a set of new auxiliary belts. Nice and easy to get to with the radiator and viscous fan removed. Awkward to get the radiator and shroud back in but no more coolant leak, I also got the Tomei back from a friend after he repaired a cracked weld. The noise is great and hopefully flows better than the Tanabe. |

Finally the stock T28 gave up, no damage to the engine. It had been maxed out for a couple years and due an upgrade.
I forgot to take a photo of all the white smoke. Towed home and started to strip it down. Still undecided what to do next. More updates in the new year, Happy New Year guys! |

Ordered a roll of the DEI titanium wrap for the Tomei manifold and to try and reduce the heat near the ABS pump.
Used locking wire to tie it in place, looks better than the metal cable ties I think. Tomei, Tomei, Tomei. I had enough wrap left for the turbo elbow too. Waiting for a few more things to arrive. |

It reached 365 bhp at the flywheel and made the same torque when it was tuned. I'll upload the graphs, boosting right up to the redline so I think it's capable of 400+
Thank you. Yeah man, look forward to it. |

I've got a 30 second clip on YouTube, not sure how to embed it.
https://youtu.be/cmQ6YdKe0xA Z32 air flow meter, Tomei pigtail, Tomei rocker arm stoppers, Apexi filter and Nismo 740cc injectors arrived. Ready to go back together, I'll grab some pictures when I install it. |

I didn't measure the whp. I'm guessing it's around 310-320.
Over time I gathered everything I needed and could begin building it back up. I took off the DIF oil and coolant lines that were already on the car and run the ones included in the Tomei kit. Installed the 740 injectors, turned them down on the PowerFC and changed the settings for the AFM and it fired up. No leaks, ready to be tuned. |
