great attention to (external) detail.
But Wayne is right its gonna suck when you have to rip it apart and put in new rings and bearings, then you get to put all that pretty stuff you got back on the outside. Still props on everything YOU did. Condition of the engine not withstanding.

Not a fan of RHD nor S15 conversions
they scream "hey look at me I'm a JDM fanboy!" totally useless 'mods' I also don't like the remedial build steps but I understand this was a Nico build I think your head is in the right place though but I reserve the right to change my mind if you start installing cheap/knockoff parts your latter pics don't work since you exceeded your bandwith limit hope you installed a fresh waterpump, front and rear main seal and valve cover gasket best part of the build imo was the KAT fitment |

ok sorry about the photos im in the process of fixing it all goddamm photobucket!!!
ok so a few things I need to let you people know there is a vid clip of the engine running before I bought it and had it shipped over it's a link to youtube also when the clip arrived I was able to start it, but only for a little bit sounds just fine started right up. When me and my buddie removed the spark plugs they werent fuel fouled or were caked with oil, but they still needed to be replaced due to be worn, so we concluded the owner of this sr most likely didnt change the oil or spark plugs, but when my buddie took a peek inside the spark plug hole he noticed that he was able to see the stamp on the piston. He said that on most sr he's seen there so dark that all you see is a black piston. On start up im going to seafoam the crap out of this thing, and change the oil sooner than normal. To try and clean up the sludge build up. I do have intentions on building it, but i am going to rock it with stock internals until it blows by then hopefully i have all the parts i need for a rebuild. I purposely chose to work with simple bolt-ons first, I mean ya it's pretty. Do I think it will be pretty once I drive it periodically psh no this isnt my first rodeo ladies and gentleman. As for the oil pan rtv it will be fine like already stated before there is a strainer on the oil pickup tube if anything were to go wrong Oh and I know im paying less attention to the external of the car thats because my focus is on completing the engine and drivetrain then i'll focus on other areas such as suspension exterior interior etc. I dont want to get out of hand on things. As for the guy who doesnt like the s15 conversion sorry, but I think it looks delicious maybe thats why they call it a strawberry face I will be too busy tommorrow to fix the pictures i will hopefully have them fixed by sunday. Sorry this happened |

Okay! I finally got the pictures back up and working again. Sorry for the inconvenience earlier. It took a long ass time transferring photos to a new host. If you happen to find any typos or any images not working lmk.

Do yourself a favor, get rid of those heater hoses in the middle of the intake runners.... They also leak after awhile, and they are pretty useless....
Also ask about Blue808's catch can mod for the valve cover.... Stock 180sx Vacuum to crank case breather is crap..... do the mod if you are doing any serious drifting or driving....

Right it would make inspection so much easier as well. In kansas all they do is make sure to see if the Title matches the vin # plus I have this whole build thread for them to look at if they were to question me.

And as for the catch can, I had intentions on either buying an aftermarket one or having someone fab me up one such as how Blue808 did, but I don't plan on doing that until the engine is dropped in. |

Havn't updated for a while because i've been saving my money for the turbo setup. I just got my GT3071R turbo from FRmotorsport custom made.
.63 A/R 4.00" inlet Compressor Anti-surge Compressor Polished T3 Inlet, GT 3.0" V-Band Discharge I threw my Turbo Blanket on it just to see how baller it will look. I'm currently saving for my exhaust manifold, injectors, fuel rail, waste-gates, and other misc things. Stay Tuned! Last edited by xharobikeslifex; 09-19-2013 at 10:21 PM.. |

I plan to paint the whole car a metalic black with a red flake, and the roll cage anodized red to match my valve cover. It will look sick one it's done, but i need to start looking for a second job to make this build thread come along allot faster.

I've seen this car in person(when it was still in CA) and it didn't look that bad. Who knew the RHD swap was done so half assed. Props to you doing it the right way.
