The stock water pump works by fins on the other side of the pump pushing water inside your engine. As you can see this puts alot of parasitic drag on the engline (like pushing ur hand int he swiming pool) by removing this drag you can gain lost hp ( 7-15 hp..maybe more ) and rev faster (from lost parasitic drag). Another benifit of an electric water pump is that it is not based on engine speeds, when ur car engine is at a stop light the water pump isnt moving as fast becuas eit is pully driven. This is why alot of cars convert to electric, for the 24/7 flow . This is a mid-high skill level project and your car will be unusable till the project is over.

Project outcome
-increase hp
-decrese parasitic drag
-faster reving
-cooler engine temp (to a point)
-higher idle rpm, this is cause by the loss or parasitic drag. You can play with the idle needle all you want, you will never have stock rpm idle.

-waterproof wireing
-eletric tape
-depending on where you located the electric pump, you may need those cute waterproof wire connectors

The project

The best time to do this project is before the car has ever been turned on, since it requires draining all the radiator fluid, its not 2 wise 2 have the block warm/hot with zero coolent.

Since i said this is a more advance project i will put the sets in words that a more adcance car guy can understand (making it easier for me )

Part 1
1. completely drain the radiator fluid
2. set the crank at TDC and remove the valve cover and side cover
3. remove crank pully
4. completely remove timing chaing (here is a good site for instructions Timing chaing removel/installation )
5. remove the waterpump, o-ring, clean surface
Side project #1
6.reinstall modified water pump
7. reinstall crank pully, timing belt, side cover, valve cover
*everythign should be back to normal except water pump no longer has fins

Side project #1
1. clean water pump
2.remove dowel from center of water pump. this should cause the fins and gear to disassemble from plate.
3. take the take the fin gear and gring the fins off, grind it down to a circle that covers the original, it should amke it like a thick washer.
4. polish finless fin gear
5. reassemble water pump
6. put new o-ring on water pump

Part 2
1. mount electric water pump where u can fit it, it should go somewhere between the engien and the radiator, since the radiator hose will be going thru it.
2. connct o-rings on water pump
3. cut radiator hose and connect to water pump, from water pump connect to engine, clamp it nice and tight.
4. wire that sucker up! you want it to always be on, while the engine is on. The best place i can think of is running it on the coil's ingition power supply

ALL DONE and rember ZILVIA.NET IS NOT REPONSIBLE FOR YOU FUCKING UP UR CAR IN ANYWAY!

i'd like to hear your replies on differnt ways you wired it up, project outcomes, hp gains, anything. THANKS
