S15 NA SR into S13 Wiring..

Does anyone know of a write up? Doing it for a buddy of mine, and thats the only thing im unsure of. Is it the same as doing an S14 motor in S13? If so does anyone know if the wiring is the same for s15 and s14 so that i can just follow an s14 write up? and would it matter for the write up if it was for de or det?

Thanks

i searched alot.

IMO best and easy way would be to use S13 KA ECU and Engine harness. All you have to do is map out all connections and just move it over the S15 SR NA motor. You will need to get some connector clips from an Nissan 95 and up to put in the S13 KA harness and also you will need to extend/shortened some wires. Below are the steps I would use.

- Map out KA engine harness to move to the SR.
- Replace connector clips as needed to work on the SR.
- Extend/Shorten wires per connectors as needed on the KA harness.
- Convert S13 Harness from External distributor to Internal.
Here's a write up in JWT showing how to do it from INT to EXT. Just reverse it.
- Next is your VTC activation. Just trace any unused connectors mostly emmisions related and cut it from the ecu connector. You will then use any RPM activated switch which has "12v,negative,rpm signal, Switch 12v". The switch 12v will now be connecting to the wire you just cut.
- Contact a ROM tuner JWT,Enthalpy,Emance and others to convert the ECU program from KA to SR. I heard others just satisfied by just running a stock KA ECU if NA but I would recommend to have it re flashed properly and should you go boosted you are set. They will add a daugtherboard on the ECU and program it based on your application.
- Also something to consider is TunerCode. This firmware has plenty of functions built-in like VTC activation, Launch control and others.

Here's is a recent similar project we did. But in this case its an S15 SR20 NA-T. We used the S14 KA wiring, Created conversion harness to run S13 KA ECU. Tunercode for the VTC and other functions. GL!

its exactally the same as wiring a s14 motor in
na s14 sr and na s15 sr have a type 5 ecu(small one)
just cut f9 f10 plugs off of s13 engine harness
i went as far as having the other side of the slider plug for s14/s15 engine harness
so it plugs right into the harness...
easy just google the crap outa it and u will find it

yes hey dont break ur balls
a stock s14 plug cut from usdm s14
will plug into sr harness...
also a cut dash plug for s13
use s14 usdm fsm and a sr20det swap wiring(for s13 colors)
also s15 sr20det into s13 if u can find it
use a power probe to check it over when its done

If your staying NA and you have the JDM S15 SR NA ECU and HARNESS.. Just lookup S14/S15 SR swap to S13 wiring. Regardless if it's turbo or not most wiring is the same.
