I have a '90 240sx, is there any advantages to a upgraded
MSD blaster coil? over a stock one? My car is mostly stock,
no big upgrades.

I wouldn't do it unless you're doing some type of forced induction. When I had my KA, I installed an MSD ignition system and the Blaster SS coil. My engine only had the basic mods: intake, headers, exhaust. The engine did idle a little smoother but I didn't notice any considerable power gains. My gas mileage also got a little better.
