Putting twin turbo onto vq35de
Okay, i'm putting two gt2871's onto a vq35de, I was going to make the customer custom headers, but I was curious earlier today and realized vg30dett turbo manifolds bolt directly up to a vq! How about that? They even have the same sized inlets, I had to egg one hole slightly to give it some wiggle room and it's a done deal, and I bet you could fit the factory vg30 turbos onto this thing with 0 problems. The only thing is on the driver side i'll have to make a new motor mount, because the aluminum is there and is in the way, but if I make a steel one i can still brace it and not be in the way.
only problem i'm having is the driver side wastegate doesn't fit between the block and the turbo, so i have to relocate it somewhere, haven't figured out where yet.. But i will. comments? He wants this now lol Sorry for the blurry pics and the mess, My motor room is so full I gotta scrape some motors and stuff. ugh

Can you grind off the post for the actuator and weld on a post on the other side, between the wastegate lever and the turbine housing? Would there be enough room if it wasn't pointed toward the block?

I kind of think i know what your talking about. But there is enough room for the lever on the turbine, it's the actually wastegate actuator itself that doesn't fit, i need to like make a bracket to bolt to the block or something under the turbo. I've heard it done but i've never personally done it, and would like feedback from someone who has done it..

They make modified 2871's for the 300zx. You may be able to get away with Stock Z32 Garrett wastegate actuators.

??
Did this end up working? Im new to the forum and am planning out a TT build for my g35, I thought of this same idea and it seems to be a (fairly) cheap DIY tt for the vq based on what ive seen in this thread.
