Mineral Wells, TX drift event with Tony Angelo and Ryan Tuerck 2/12-13/2011
Here is the home thread on the home forum for this post. Mineral Wells, TX drift event with Tony Angelo and Ryan Tuerck 2/12-13/2011
Now that your mind has been blown, please proceed to read the rest of this carefully. Yes, Tony Angelo and Ryan Tuerck of Drift Alliance will be attending our Mineral Wells event in Feb. Yes, they will be brining their missile cars with them to tandem WITH us. Yes you have the possibility of tandeming with them. Yes it will go on for TWO days. TWO DAY EVENT. TWO DAY EVENT. 1. This is very expensive to do accomplish, so the prices reflect this. We are transporting Tier 1 drivers down here and cars all the way from the east coast. 2. There will pools of drivers at this event. a. Drivers that pay $150 for the clinic in advance, who get to be a part of the clinic and get both drifting and tandem help from the pros, and also the possibility of tandeming with the pros. The 150 one time fee gets you into both days of driving. b. The second pool of drivers will be 50 dollars, and will get to drive the event like normal. They will not have the ability to tandem with the pros regardless, because they aren't helping foot the bill. They will not get advice or help from the pros. The 50 dollars covers both days of driving! This is applies to each individual driver. 3. Spectator fee for this event will be $10 dollars, simply because again this is an expensive event to run. However, I feel this is a steal of a price to come hang out and watch drivers of this caliber in this relaxed setting! Spectator fee covers both days! If you only go to one day, the fee is still $10 dollars. You MUST keep your wrist band on though, if you loose it, you have to pay for re-entry. 4. This is going to be a very organized and run MW event. That means all drivers must arrive no later than 9 am on the DOT. If you arrive late you will have to wait for another drivers meeting, and I will only give those once an hour, not as each person arrives. No one goes on track without a full drivers meeting for this event. We will run all the way until about 30 minutes before dark. 5. Josh Herron will be flown out to film this event, because the Drift Alliance boys will be using the footage for one of their videos. Josh will also make a video of the event for the web as well. 6. There is a limited amount of spots for the clinic, you must paypal erinshill at gmail.com $155 ( inludes paypal fee ) ASAP because almost ALL the spots are already full. I'm serious about this, if you want to be a part of the clinic, register ASAP. 7. You do not need to preregister if you are just going to drive without being in the clinic. So again, you have the chance to tandem with pros ( pending your ability to do so ) at this event if you pay the clinic fee. This is an amazing opportunity! I drive across the country and spend thousands for this privilege, so having them come to you and pay so little is rad. Thanks again to the Drift Alliance dudes for doing this. They are coming out because they love drifting, and helping the sport out. Thanks guys!!!! |

There are campsites very close, and there will be dozens of hotel rooms there within a mile with people partying and stuff, so you can probably party and crash on someones floor. There are a bunch of people in RV's too. Camping might be a bit too cold in Feb, but it should be beautiful during the afternoon.

The event is just west of Fort Worth, TX by about 45 miles. Yes there will be lots of partying at the hotels just outside the track. Yes there will be lots of booze consumed. Yes the event is two days long so people will continue this behavior for way too long. Come hang out!
