So ive run into a dilemma. Im setting up a set of coilovers on my ladies STI and the shit is not going low enough. BC Racing Coilovers.

So I have completely dropped the spring all the way to the lower mounting perch, keeping all 3 collars in between. Now I know this is stupid, being that there is no preload what-so-ever on the spring now, but that is the height that the car should be. Would anyone have any suggestions on lowering the car anymore without removing any preload? I was thinking possibly a shorter spring. Would I need to go with a stiffer spring rate or would staying with what the coilovers have be ok?

-Ive already dropped the car completely up to the point that the coilovers is mm's away from the front axle boot.
-camber is maxed out for fitment purposes.

You don't want to use shorter springs, since the dampers are sized specifically for those. Removing the collars is the next step, but that starts to effect preload.

Do you think a set of helper springs might help with this issue if flipping the brackets will not resolve it?

I wouldn't think so... But then again, I run fairly aggressive aero so I don't need to dump my shit. I still have threads left with my fronts not flipped lol.

Flip the bracket, and if you have to, give the spring a quarter turn's-worth of preload, then sandwich another collar in there with the lower. Hopefully it won't come loose.
