Checking out the main bearing clearance, it's pretty much perfect at .0015-.0018", and the rods are at .0024" which is mint as well. Measured with a proper bore gauge.
Oil squirter "delete" will be replaced with some proper Mazworx ones. Super Beefy crank doesn't allow squirters it seems. Timing chain squirter will be replaced with a Taarks screw in.

Here's some of the detail work that I do to my bottom ends. Basically smoothing out casting flash, breaking sharp edges, Smoothing out oil drains and feeds, etc.
Why does no one ever address the terrible water inlet on SR20 blocks? It's a ninety degree cross drilled passage that has to see a bunch of turbulence. Just cleaned up some more flash in the water pump area.

Also, SR20 blocks have these weird plugged, unused passages that run to the sump. I may try and simplify my catch can setup by using the top fitting as a drain. I gotta knock that aluminum plug out so I can use the factory crankcase vent, but I think I can re-route the PCV system so in vacuum/cruise it takes the proper path of through the air intake, down into the sump, up through the timing cover and out the valve cover. Kinda nice for detail people like me hah.

Just learned from a very reputable SR20 builder that my main clearances are much too tight. Guess I'll order up those .001" extra clearance bearings hah.

Its funny. When you posted the mains and rods, I had to go look them as they did seem too tight. Especially if you want to put some big turbo heat into them.

Got the THL crossmember in.
Got the GKtech one-piece arms in, the car back on the ground, and got it to a more proper ride height. Still need to install these and a hundred other things.

Everything looks good. I wouldn’t omit the piston squirters if I were you. On the oil drain holes, did you just chamfer the hole instead of having a 90* edge? I’ve contemplated doing some of these things on my “big power” build.

Anyone interested in an old-school style writeup on the SR20 wiring harness build? Obviously I'm doing a video about the whole thing, but I can take pictures and do a writeup if people think that would be beneficial for the forum. I'm going to be building the harness to be future proof so it would include some extra sensor provisions and all the things to run the VVL system for a VE head conversion.

Because I dislike ECU master connectors, this will allow me transition to a different ECU if I want, and I got a sweet deal on this. Might run an ADU5 though!
Finishing up the nitty gritty of planning out this harness. A few more big decisions to make and then it's mockup time for the ECU to firewall.

It's my fault guys, although it wasn't your typical install. Video will be up in a couple hours with all the mistakes I made on this thing haha. Luckily it is salvageable, but I'm going to be refreshing my spare subframe with a few new twists to replace this thing for now.
