Timing chain issue maybe? On my sr20det?
Hey everyone I just need some insight on this. Maybe im a little perinoid but is it normal when you first start your car early in the morning to hear a little ticking (timing chain rattle from what it sounds like) for a split second then goes away quickly. My motor doesn't do this all the time just early in the moringor if my car has been sitting for a long time...HMMMM any help would be great..Thanks

sounds like your lifters are losing prime. timing chain wouldnt go away. get new lifters. to bleed them you need to put them in oil and use a rod to release the check ball in the lifter. just have the lifter submerged then stick the rod in the hole in the top. should take care of your noise. they are under your cams and rocker arms if you didnt know.

You're probably fine. Ever listened to a new Ford recently? Haha. You'll be fine, so long as it goes away quickly
