engine bore issue
ok i have a 2000 toyota gts it is bore 4.0 over and recently the alternator went out in it, so should when i replace it should i upgrade the alternator due to the bore or will a new stock one work fine? thanks guys!

A. Why would the alternator need to be upgraded because of an overbore?
B. Why are you asking about your Toyota in a Nissan specific forum? 3. Who taught you English? Ok, enough of me being a dbag. No, the bore change wont affect your engines need for a higher output alternator. If you were running a large stereo system, or something that is putting an excessive amount of strain on the cars battery/electrical system, then youd need to upgrade your alternator. Simply having an overbored engine is no reason to require a bigger alternator. |
