S13 vs s14 trans.

is there any difference between s13 and s14 ka transmissions besides the crank positioning censor?

herd the gearing was diffrent. but not for sure on that.

will it fuck up your timing if u run a s14 with out a cps? I know it will start up and stuff because last time i changed my clutch i managed to break my cps, and coulndt get one till the next day so I drove it for a day without one, but over time will it fuck shit up?

We have a search function on this site for a reason. Being new, young, and horribly ignorant is no excuse not to use it.

The crank position sensor has nothing to do with timing. You can research the rest as I've already paved the way for you.

The FSM will tell you what the Crank Pos Sensor is used for.

the only difference is the bell housing the s13 doesnt have a crank position sensor and the s14 does. so i bought a s13 tranny and had to switch the bell housing thats about it
