Hello All:

I'm in process of doing 5speed swap in my S14.
I have a total of 7 broken switches that I'm trying to fix.

I am wondering, how do I tell the OD/Neutral/Reverse switches apart?

Are they normally open, held close switches?
Or are they normally closed, held open switches?

...would I get CEL if I do not identify them correctly?

Need more info.

1. What engine will be going into the car?

2. What transmission will you be using?

3. What engine control system will you be using?

4. What year is the body?

sorry for the hasty post. To clear things up:

I am running a KA 5speed.

I have 5speed stock ECU on hand, just in case. But also have AEM EMS for later.

The body is a 97 kouki.
