Clutch/flywheel need a dust cover?

I had a new stage II clutch installed not to long ago and it seems like iv never been able to see the fly wheel ( i guess what im seeing is the flywheel) my question is does it need to be there (i would assume so) and the bolt that is missing in the picture does anyone know what size it is and where i can get it.

it acts as a dust shield and a spacer. the auto and manual trans shields/spacers are different. if you have the upper half on its 'ok'. if it is missing entirely you really need to put it on. that involves removing the trans, clutch and flywheel. its easy to forget, I have done it many times, but thankfully not after it was all back together

odds are they will say it was never there (which will be bs) or that its not needed (also bs). then they will say they dont have it, and you'll have to source it, and they dont come up fs very often cause every car needs one, and getting them out at the junkyard isnt easy. also ask them where the missing bolt is.

the missing plate will allow water/dirt/rocks/roadgrime onto the clutch mating surface, and the bolts between the engine and trans can actually work themselves loose over time due to the gap

The bolt was already missing which is why seeing the flywheel kind of confused me since i was under the car before i had the clutch installed, still i will call them and ask them and they probly will give me the ring around. And then when the clutch falls out of it they will be replacing it for free cause im sure there mechanic isnt licensed. Found out after the fact.
