I've got a friend who is thinking of getting a 240sx, but he is interested in the RB motors and would just like to do research and see questions that other people ask so he can get a good idea of the power potential and strength of these motors.

there's a whole bunch of stuff gone over w/ the rb's on this site, but it's spread out all over i guess. i'd understand if u didn't wanna do a search on it. but yeah, unstable hybribds has some info on the rb's price wise n all 2.

yeah people talk about it on here, but they talk about the weight of it and whether or not to install one. I want to see what kind of power these things will make, how much boost can the stock internals take, how much boost can the stock turbo reliably give, what mods benefit these motors the most? Is the price difference between the RB20DET and the RB25DET worth the money? THose kinda questions. I wanna see how these motors react to mods and how fast these motors can be.

Hate to tell ya but there maybe only alittle over 1,000 people in the US with a RB engine. Some of them may not even be on the web, let alone post frequently about it, that would make a small forum, if there was a RB forum it would probably have alot of "dreamers" on it spamming up the board, and not alot of solid info Your best chance would be to look for a Aussie or European site to see if you could find out anything from then, or learn Japanese and join one of there forum's

i found some basic stuff on them by searching for "rb20det" on yahoo, but nothing like a forum or something along those lines. wish i could tell u more about mine before, but i only had it for 6 months and i was 2 busy working to pay for insurance, gas, blah blah blah. it's also kind of hard when u don't know nebody else that has ur car to talk about it w/ n learn from n everything on the car is in japanese. i was mostly learning about silvias.
