Officer Mikeys clean S13 Rb build!
So first off I want to start out by thanking Douglas Smith and Erik RittttttchhhhheeRR of U.P. Garage cause with out their help and knowledge I would still be building pieces of shit like the rest of you. . So I've built a few pieces of shit over the years and ended up with a lot of parts. Decided to find an S13 shell to build my final car that blows everything else out of the water. Oh and I've built some complete fail and wasted a ton of money in very dumb places.
I'm gonna post a few pictures as I go but heres a link to the whole album epic pictures by newtype42o - Photobucket So I got an S13 from oregon that was a shell. I overlooked a minor detail upon purchase and that was the fact that the car had frame damage. I decided to buck up and fix it due to it being a full power car with a clean title. Ripped apart the frame, body, and firewall to replace it with good straight parts the correct way. New panels and frame rail welded in here. Much grinding to be done Once the damage was fixed I made the decision to weld up everything and round out everything. And yes the frame is reinforced behind the welds. It is stronger then it was before. |

Lots and lots and lots and lots of welding and grinding. I'm talking 2 months of welding and grinding while I was laid off.
Once everything was welded and grinded I decided to put it together and roll it out for the first time since I bought the car. 5 lug and z brakes were so lonely in my garage that I took the opportunity to install it all. Once it was rolling again I started body work on the engine bay. Jason Lucier of Jasons custom compacts was my help with the body work. He is a immaculant professional painter. He owns hands down the prettiest s13 showcar in the United States. Finally the car was off on a tow truck to Jasons shop for him to focus on it more. The day came to seam seal up all of the underbody where I had replaced all the damage. The interior recieved seam seal and a catalyst sealing epoxy. Then rubberized undercoating. After some more metal shaping and body work it was time to prime the engine bay. |

Block sanding of the primer ensued and then seam sealing the entire engine bay.
Time for paint! The color I chose is off of a 2010 Hyunadai Tucson. Kiwi Green Metallic. Jason of course doing the painting. Once paint was done some more undercoat work was needing to be done. Now the car made it back home for a nice engine. I rebuilt my R33 Rb26 from my last car which was garbage. Heres the engine in the last car. The car was hacked together by Tino and Shane back in the custom imports days. When they were here to rip you off. I had to fix so much S it wasn't even funny. Fresh bore and hone. .020 over. Wiseco forged pistons. Arp head studs. Greddy head gasket. Greddy timing belt. N1 water pump. New ACL main and rod bearings. New valve seals. I think thats it. Lots of help from Doug putting this back together. Engine was machined by Pacific Engine Rebuilders and the powder coating was done by Kens Powder coating. |

Probably should of shown this before the install pics but I made my own cross member/mounts
Overkill intercooler.. Cut it up! Welded on 90 degree bends to get it right against the frame rails. The radiator is a custom U.P. Garage unit. Very awesome radiator it utilizes all the wasted space under your core support. Combined 2000+ CFM fans made by Spal. |

More custom powder coating and a brand new oem 45 coupler :P.
The beginning of my custom intakes. I'd hate to cover up my round wheel wells that I worked so hard on. The aluminum welding was done by Ricky at speed factory. He was a huge help with all of my aluminum welding. He does a great job with both strength and looks. Takes a lot of practice to do what he does. And douglas took the time to make me some custom heat shields for my K&N air filters. Running a Vi-Pec courtesy of U.P. Garage. doug will be working his magic on the tune. The prettiness is on the inside |

Off to the shop for doug to fix all my mistakes. Sorry doug .
Moved the resi to the fire wall to make way for what will be my oil catch can custom made by doug. Make your own Silvia bumper! Up on the lift to fit the jdm Aero bumper. (That I will be repairing correctly) Mmmm sex.. Onto Z dyno! Car results will be posted once I've solved a few problems. Its not making what it should. No fault to anyone but something I did in the build. Car runs great though. And is still fast as hell. Fastest car I've driven ;-). Drove her home to start body work. Will work out the korks later. |

Body work begins. The plan is fix the aero bumper. Have oem 180sx side skirts. Have silvia rear valance replicas. Have a supermade rear wing for it. And still need to purchase bricks, GTR grill, and supermade roof spoiler.
Off to jasons once again. I hate auto body work. Primered the hood and fender Rear valance replicas from bings.ca they don't fit very well Mmm Sex again! Jasons car Supermade rear wing Bagged up for primer Primer going down. All paint products are Schrwinn Williams. Primer is Spectra prime and the paint is ultra 7000. Theres like 3 grand in paint materials in my car. You get what you pay for! First primer is done. The plan is to block sand it then primer again to get an ultra smooth show car finish. So much work. Today is 9/7/11 and this is how the car sits right now! Thanks for stopping by. Just spend an hour and a half uploaded and posting this. Will be block sanding tonight. Come back for further updates! |

Yea not much rain driving will be done with this. I have a couple other daily drivers. This is my weekend car for shows and lapping days. The outside will be like the factory two tone. Bottom will be a darker metalic. I have a few colors in mind. My garage isn't the biggest but it works.
That radiator is available at U.P.Garage. 253-565-9823 Tacoma, WA The second those fans come on my water temp drops two degrees.. lol. The fans rarely come on too.. Those fans combined are like 2500cfm. Very very very good fans made in Italy. Also very very expensive. The shroud is custom made as well. As for the front of the car, it will recieve bricks and a Gtr grill. I'm purchasing those here soon. Whats on there now will probably get sold. |

I'm assuming the carpet you put in is S14 carpet? If so how well does it fit? I've got the carpet out of my s14 sitting in my basement and would love to throw that nasty tweed shit from my coupe in the garbage.
