Car won't turn off

So I had a shop install the auto to 5speed in my 95 240. Everything works great except when I use the HT ECU, my auto was HU and the HT is the manual equivalent (So I read). Car starts but won't turn off, I can move the key to off and ACC, etc and the car will not power off unless stalled. Once I put back in the Auto ECU everything again works but I through CEL.

I am not sure if there's some kind of wiring that needs to be changed in order to fix this. As well as when testing the with the ECU CEL comes on when pressing the throttle. Any ideas?

take it back to them, and tell them to fix it, lol?! you paid them to do a job and it sounds like they did not complete it.

But yeah, you should compare the pin outs for both ecu's side by side and i betchya there is something awry there, lol.

Or you could just install a kill switch and be ultra boss.

The ECU part wasn't done by the shop.

word. yeah man, my best advice is, since you have narrowed it down to be the ECU, I would definitely check the pin out and see what is different between the two and go from there. hope that helps!

the ignition and constant battery voltage is probably different between the two ecu`s.
