Ebay suspension parts

Some of the stuff they sell there is pretty dirt cheap but has anyone from this fourm bought and put any of those suspension parts to the test.

as everyone above has stated.
Suspension is a safety issue any time you drive your car.
if you wanna skimp on your build somewhere, look elsewhere.

No, never. Authorized dealer on Ebay maybe, but check with the manufacturer before to make sure they are authorized. I started out buying stuff on Ebay but found it better to just buy quality name brand parts or at least from a respected shop/race firm.... like Alex Pfeiffer's Battle Version suspension parts, I paid the extra money for the quality and have been having fun since spring last year . The only thing I would buy off Ebay that was a "knockoff" was my exhaust... the others I made sure were actual name brand parts.

eh, when it comes to suspension, you shouldn't buy no-name made in china parts (i.e. "JDM Style RUCAS"). maybe im just paranoid.

do it right the first time and buy quality parts.

Brand name stuff is fine. I got T/C rods that have been fine for about 2yrs now.

Hard parts like Sub-frame spacers are ok because there is no tolerances or materials importance.

Arms and parts with rod ends, bearings, joints. Stay away from. The joints are crap and blow out. I was in a rush and couldn't get name brand arms cause they were back ordered.

Depends on what you need.

Sometimes you pay for what you get! Remeber sometimes saving money on cheap parts will save you money first, but it can cost you in the long run and bite you in the ass! Becareful...

Buying quality parts at the beginning is not only safer but it will also end up being cheaper in the long run.

how do these things "blow out" like what happens the end fails? is it a condition like a snapped arm or there is excessive play and it knocks arround? I have had no name multilink on my rear for the past 10 mos. and all they do is click after i park the car and get out. i would not reccomend these what so ever. i have not had any problems with them but the way everyone always bashes these things i do tend to be weary of them. i can say i have put them through hell. These will be my next upgrade i will be switching over to spl-parts. if there tc rods are any indication of the quality of their rear multilink then they will be the sex.

There is at least one photo on the internet someplace where a guy had the rod end fail just on the freeway.

I put C-Tune RUCAs on my S14 and I started to get the same noises you are talking about, but also creaking when the rear loads and unloads. The rod ends look like the same stuff you see on all the other ebay arms. Not only that but my car was hit right on the rear wheel not too long ago and the RUCA bent. I am supprised it was the arm its self and not just the rod end. 5 degrees negitive camber and 3 degrees toe in rock. Hella hardcore.
My brother has a set of the SPL front tension rods = the sauce. Very nice. Same brother has the SPL rear toe links. Nice stuff, but not the same impressive quality as the tension rods.
After lots of research I am going with Peak Performance to replace the ebay garbage I put on my car.
