ATI pulley on sr20
I recently bought an ATI pulley and for some reason its not slipping all the way on?
It almost seems like it is hitting the spacer so it physically can't go on any further, the crank pulley does not line up with the rest of the pulleys. It's about .25 of an inch off.. anyone have any ideas? I can't find anything on this subject.. |

Never heard of anybody having this problem, all I know is that if you use it on a fwd sr you have to use a collar on the crank to space it out a little farther.
Did you get the part number 918582? |

thats what is says on the box, is that supposed to be stamped on the pulley anywhere?
on the back of the pulley its stamped 990916, but on the box its stamped 918582... not sure whats going on.. anyway does my spacer look like its on all the way? it doesn't go in any further.. heres what the pulley looks like you can see that it needs to come towards the crank more.. |

You have to machine it 3mm, this goes for ALL VE RWD swaps in order to get the pulleys to line up. Should have had Mazworx build your motor for you, it would already have been done
What oil pump are you using? It doesn't look like a fwd pump. NO NO NO! Do NOT do this. |

It looks to me like it has an additional spacer on top of the one inside the oil pump. Which is what you would do when using this pulley on the fwd sr20. Some of the ATI pulley kits come with the spacer.
It is not required for rwd sr. However if it doesn't have an additional spacer on the crank and it's only the oil pump drive, you must have the wrong pulley. Machining is only needed when using the ve pump. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
