Fuel Problem (KA24DE s13) Pressure Regulator?
alright so the other day, My car cut out mid drift. Just stopped, no warning no nothing.
We tried to get the car started, but it just would not go no matter what we did. Today, we found a partial answer to the problem. If we disconnected the injectors, the car would run and then die as soon as the fuel in the cylinders would run out (pretty quick). We pulled the spark plugs, and sure enough, they were wet with fuel. (bought new ones, but did not install yet). I put out some calls to local shops and it sounds like it is probably the pump or more likely the fuel pressure regulator. I borrowed a Fuel Pressure Gauge from a local shop and hooked it up to the inlet side (going to injectors) from the regulator. It read 48-50 psi. does anyone know what is supposed to be? I cant seem to find a solid answer from searching. Or maybe there is something else wrong? Thanks guys! |
