Question about s14 auto to manual swap/cruise control with an s13 sr.
I am currently swapping an S13 SR20 into my 97 S14 240sx. I have purchased the Wiring Specialties pre-made S13 SR20 into an S14 240sx main harness, as well as the Wiring Specialties pre-made S13 SR20 into an S14 240sx lower/transmission harness.
From what I have read searching the internet; to keep cruise control working (electrically) you need to install the ASCD switch on the clutch pedal. This can be done by purchasing the switch and installing it into the pedal. Then installing a connector for the switch by hooking it in series with the brake pedal ASCD switch connector. Hooking it in series causes the normally closed connection to be broken by pressing the brake pedal or the clutch pedal. My confusion is with the clutch interlock switch. In various threads I have read to jumper two wires by the fuse box in the engine bay. This jumpers the interlock and allows the car to be started without the clutch pedal pressed in. I would like to maintain the clutch interlock when doing this swap. Where would I wire the clutch interlock switch to? Would go with the neutral position sensor?
