There is nothing wrong with killing animals for food, shelter, protection, clothing, or for the protection of your livelyhood. This guy is protecting his brother's crops - anyone who doesn't understand that has never lived near agriculture and people who depend on it.

i'm unimpressed. while he has a right to protect his farm, he did it in pansy manner. I also don't care for how he feels the need to gloat about his uneeded cruelty on the net. as another poster noted, it would have been wiser to set up some sort of fence.

that aside, he's plain childish to gloat when most of what he did was run over the pigs with his jeep, and use a long-ass spear on one of them. anyone can do that. now if he jumped off the jeep and did the deed with his bare hands, well that I could probably respect. the piggies here arn't exactly warthogs, not are they really that large. then having to post about YOURSELF on the internet, that just further reduces your credibility.

What I would have done, is build a fence. If hogs invade, try to drive them off. If not, get some free bacon and keep it to myself.

I mean try building a fence around a 1,000 acre farm. That would cost soo much money and especially with upkeep.These pigs have tusks and dig under/chew threw fences.

These are feral hogs. They don't have a natural predator in the south so they overpopulate and eat peoples crops.

The state warrants that you can kill as many feral pigs as you want and you don't need a license because they are an invasive species harmful to the environment.

PETA is absolutely necessary in this country. I might dissagree with some of their tactics but I agree with the basis of what they believe in.

The pigs looked in good weight. Plus, pigs will eat almost anything so food shouldn't be a problem. They'll eat anything from vegetables to other animals so lack of food isn't a problem. Also, we're not talking about rats here other vermin, like pidgins, we're talking about pigs here. But then again, I'm from Southern California and haven't experience a "pig epidemic" in my state.

so a fence isn't an option? That would completely eliminate another problem from ever happening. Instead of a fence, he kills animals for doing something that is completely natural to them.
His brother needs to understand that if ANY animal sees food, they'll eat it. He just needs to be smarter and cut the problem off before anything happens instead of killing defenseless animals with a fucking Jeep for doing something that is natural to them, eating.

Look, a fence isn't going to keep these animals out. They will find a way into the crop if they want to. These pigs aren't doing something "completely natural". They are an invasive species that doesn't belong there and thrives because it has no natural preditors and all the food it could ever want. The pigs don't even eat the cops sometimes they just root in it and wreck it.
On another note this guy is a complete whacko. Like people said there is something primal about hunting with a spear but the truck thing and the creepy talking go too far. Still, this guy is doing all the farmers in the area a favor and they are even eating the bacon.

The pictures totally remind me of 'Lord of the Flies'.

This dude is a badass, that's all there is to it. His pictures scare the piss outta me. I'm sure he didn't plan on taking so many out with a truck, but c'mon, these pigs are costing his family tens of thousands of dollars....they just lined themselves up and really set him up for the big finish haha. I'm sorry, but spears are just so badass it's not even funny. Sure he may seem crazy, but at least he has good intentions behind all the killing.
