anyone receive the D2 coilover replacements yet?
I called them up and so far they are still out of rear s14 coilovers . As of right now I dropped my insurance b/c I can't even drive it. My car feels and sounds like it's falling apart b/c of the coilovers, and my tension rods are worn to hell. I'm so paranoid driving it that I'm just going to let it sit there until the replacements come in (hopefullly soon)
Anyways how do the replacements non-defective coilovers compare to the popcorn sounding one? Nicer ride at all or better performance? How long did it take to ship around?

the replacements should be stateside by the end of next week.
my car sounds like $hit too right now, but dont you worry sir, D2 is on it. they are having Chinese (asian) new years right now, or just finished it so imagine how responsive an american company would be on January 1st. sounds like your situation sucks, but you'll get your replacements soon enough. |

ok that sounds good. Do you know how long shipping will take? Driving the Maxima for now, which isn't so bad. It's faster than my 240, and for once my back doesn't hurt. Then again, I also can't corner worth crap

I installed my replacements this past weekend. HUGE Difference. The poping noise is completly gone and the handling is much better. I'll know how good the D2's really are after i get my alignment.
Oh, there's a difference between the front and rear struts. The struts were marks with an 'R' and a 'F'. However, the markings were kind worn and hard to see. Any danger in putting the front stuts in the rear and the rear struts in the front? They look identical. |
