wiring problem, DRLs? stock turbo timer?
so im rebuilding my s13, the motor is currently not in the car and im swapping a 24de into a 90 hatch, instead of cutting my wiring harness to splice the 92 engine harness and 90 interior harness i just swapped in the interior harness from my 92 parts car, as far as i know everything should be the same?
anyways the problem is this, i hooked up the battery to make sure everything works before i put my interior back together, when i turn the key on everything comes on as it should except all the exterior lights come on except the headlights, and my headlight up and down switch doesnt work, it acts like the light switch is in the park light position, when i turn the key off all the exterior lights stay on and 3 of the gauge trouble lights stay on, the e brake, door, and battery lights stay on, when i pull the battery light plug off the back of the gauges all the lights go out and stay out even if i put the light back in, as soon as i turn the key back on it does the same thing though unless i leave the battery light plug out of the gauges then everything works as it should it does the same exact thing for the single cam and dual cam gauge clusters so it cant be that, i have no idea what it could possibly be, im gonna swap my old harness back in and see if that fixes it, could my engine being out possibly cause this? i didnt think so since it wouldnt be related to the motor at all but i guess anything is possible i also have some different control boxes i have never seen before any help on them would be apreciated as well looks like the ecu plug but its deffinately not the ecu and i cant find a plug that fits it anywhere i have 2 of these and they both have different plugs, one for the passenger side one for the driver side, passenger plug comes from exterior engine bay harness, driver side plug comes from interior harness, are they the same box? also have these 3 plugs high up on the passenger side dash harness and i cant find where they go, the 2 blue ones are the exact same plug |
