Negative, he should clear it. Stock R33 GTR rims will clear depending on the suspension and theyre 17x9 +30. Some dont clear them and they need the 5mm, making them effectively +25. Those rims should clear unless you slapped some 265/40 sized tires on those things...

s13 w/ Tein HEs
17x9 +24
clearance @ 4 MM (rim edge to coil)
