Weird SR blacktop problem
hey guys i need some help. i have a SR blacktop swapped into an s13. it usually idles pretty good, at about 850 rpm. but when i am driving it and press the clutch in all the way, the rpms sometimes fall way down to under 500 rpm and sometimes the car will even cut off all the way for just a second, then turn back on. does anyone know what this might be? any help would be appreciated. oh and i would have searched but i didnt even know what to search for.

yeah and it runs like crap when the weather is cold and its a cold start right? maybe even gotta give it gas to keep it running?
i cleaned my iacv seemed to help a little but came back quickly. the iacv on these cars are crap they are not meant to last 15+ years. replacing it is expensive but necessary. you can only clean it so much, mostly they wear out. had the exact same problem with a z28 camaro. cleaned the iacv. it would die when shifting into reverse or sometimes when i let off the throttle. idle all over the place but usually 700rpm. replaced the iacv (luckily only $45 on those) and it runs like a new engine. |
