S14 SR20DE Build
Hey all
Just wanted to get a bit of tech. I am building an NA S14 SR for my 510. I want to stroke the motor but am heaving trouble deciding what to go with. I am trying to get the most out of the build and am not overly concerned about the dollar value (please don't remind me that turbo or an NA KA is cheaper). I will be running Tomei's ITB's with the setup. Basically the stroker kits I have found are from the following companys, each offering something different. Please give me your thoughts as well as suggestions for compression and head building. This is a street car running 94 octane. Brain Crower 2.3L $3300 91mm stroke crankshaft Piston bores up to 89mm (with sleeves) ~ 2.26L Tomei 2.2L $3680 91mm stroke Bores up to 87.5mm ~ 2.188L Tomei does not include rods for the NA build Toda Racing 2.2L $7900 92mm stroke Bores up to 87.5mm ~ 2.21L Have not confirmed with Toda that they offer an NA compression package I would like to stick with one vendors product for the block as well as valvetrain pieces. Any suggestions on how big of a cam i should consider? Seann |
