i am about to get a air filter..not sure which one but i read that i need sumthin to put that hose on the side of the air filter box somewhere (aiv i guess) can i get this

its a weapon r breather..will that work so i can get a air filter? and please tell me what air filter i should get that sounds good.. k&n or a hks and where i can buy it at..thanks a lot!

personally I love the K&N's much much more than the HKS. The filter type the HKS uses isnt as efficient as the k%n nor is it as free flowing. As far as whether or not you can use a breather valve, it just depends on what hose your talking about. I dont know how many hoses a 240 has to the intake, but if there is only 1, then the breather valve will work fine.

thanks i have 1 hose and it connects to the back of the filter box close to the intake..what should i use to connect that hose to cuz it wont be able to connect to anything with the K&N filter..thx in advance

they cost so much, why dont you just get the full stack from OBX?
make sure u get the right adapter so u can plug in your temp sensor ... yeah i need a breather also
i believe it is a 1 inch hose line?

the breather cost like 15 dollars and the k&n is about 30..how much is that OBX one and where can i get it? where can i find an adapter for the temp sensor? yea its bout 1 inch of the hole..what u suggest..or would this work for all that

dude you dont need the breather if your getting that filter kit...  to install that kit, un hook your air filter box.  then take out the square air filter, then those four screws (er bolts) un do those... take the top part of the box out and then use that square piece in the kit to replace where the box was screwed in.  then put the ring on and then the filter and tighten it with the screw on the metal ring.  thats all you have to do.  but the breather might help a little... i dont know if its going to fit.  the KA24DE (240sx motor) has a bigger value than most other 4 banggers... so that "universal" one might not fit..  I bought out and it was "universal" and i had to drill it out.

dude, today i just remembered what you are talking about... its a little sensor on your stock piping.  but those kits you want use the stock piping so you don't have to worry about it.  I got my injen intake on 3 days ago so i will lay my stock setup on the ground and take a picture of it if you want, its basically what you want to do.  so let me know or IM me or something MattMatic240sx (aol)
