5 speed swap nuts and bolts
Should the nuts and bolts I use for my swap all be grade 8? Meaning the slave Cylinder, master, clutch/brake pedal, etc... I’m not asking about the bell housing that’s an obvious answer, I’m talking about everything else to go with my 5 speed swap

i think they should actually be grade 10.9 but take it with a grain of salt.

OP it's really up to you, at the end of the day the 10.9 hardware really doesn't cost more than the low quality stuff and well bend rather shear. With that said I have plenty of "bolt bucket" bolts holding non important parts of my car together. A good rule of thumb is if you will feel safer by using a high quality bolt rather than a low quality or random bolt for whatever application you're working on it's probably the better choice. |
