tie rods are adjustable to begin with.
if you're talking about a performance one (tein, even though it's not really a performance end, just s14 oem basically) then no. most tie rods ends require an aftermarket inner tie rod. |

depends
stock inners like s14 would be a worthy upgrade over s13 now rmemeber depends on end too compare kazama and nams tell me which is beefier by looks: NAMS i couldnt say which is REALLY beter but the NAMS definately looks to be. i was going nams but kuah at spl said the spl ones have more adjustment [then nams/kazama] so thats why i went with those..and cheaper. car is pretty low.. i havent looked at the spl ones, im sure they are closer to nams, i talked w/ kuah about nams vs kazama sometime back waybefore his version came out. the weakest part of the tie rod/end setup might be the threaded part, a beefy rod that goes into a small thread part is useless. beefiness all across is key and z32 fits s13/s14 just hve to use both inner and outer kazama: NAMS: SPLparts.com Last edited by Dousan_PG; 04-21-2005 at 12:17 AM.. |

see i always thought that nam's would do better bumpsteer adjustment due to the angle of the end of the tie rod, that PLUS the heigh adjustability with spacers. oh well i feel like a poser anyways now, i went with cheesesauce kazamas.

the spl requires the z32 inners right? That looks like a pretty good upgrade, but you can also use s14 inners and S14 outters on a S13? No mods? If its that much of a difference i might go for some s14 inners on a parted out s14 with some aftermarket outters. Or if i find some z32 for a good price ill go with the spl maybe.

protip: NAMS and Ikeya formula are by no means identical, but look very similar in design (angled end etc.). NAMS are ~$230 retail here, vs over 300 for Ikeya. |
