5 lug conversion really worth it?
Now days, a 5 lug conversion is a very popular mod for an s chassis, but is it really worth the time and money? are there any benifits other than rim availability?

In my new opinion, it's not really worth it unless there are some wheels you just got to have.
On my other s13, I'm just gonna get the Z rotors redrilled. Saves money and now that I have one car built to "Zilvia-Spec" I don't care to build two. |

most nice fitment wheels are 5lug, that mostly the reason... 4 luggers come in big sizes but the offset isn't that good always since they are mostly made for FWD cars (i said MOSTLY), using bigger brakes are really a dumb excuse... most brakes fit inside 15 inch and if not maybe a 17inch wheel... 4 luggers DO come in those sizes... just bad fitment like already said above... now if you like searching and having that experience of looking for nice 4 luggers then you should just stay 4 lug, there is a thread for 4 lug wheels around here... although it hasn't come back to life in months!

5-lug = TONS of wheel options.
4-lug = Minimal wheel options. Most have to be ordered new from the manufacturer. I would've ordered my VS-XX brand new in 4-lug, but I don't plan on keeping the same wheel set up forever. Tons of awesome fitting wheels are always being sold for great prices, but 95% of the time, they're 5-lug. I just decided to make my life a little easier. |

1st car I noticed was the Type-R as opposed to regular GSR integras.Seems to be an Older car thing though as the Corrolla dosen't have Much power nor Big brakes,....but must be cheaper to use parts from another car and just throw em on the Rolla. SO in that,...I say if your running quite a bit of power (220+) - Not a Bad idea to have 1 more lug running things on each wheel.Though it won't hurt if not.:ghey:
