Car Photos
New to the forum, and wanted to offer my services to anyone who's interested. I'm a photographer and have recently started trying to break into the Car Scene. I've attached a shot that I did for another club. Usually a shoot like this would put you up in the $500 range, I'm willing to do the photos for $200. That gets you the photos, and a model to be with the car. Anyone interested please reach out to my email, . I chose this forum, cause the Z-series and Silvia line are some of the most beautifully designed cars. I think they would really stand out in the photos. Would rather photograph work of art rather then a civic. Let me know and if there is a group of cars that would be shot together, I might be able to lower the cost for the group. Thank you guys for your time and look forward to hearing from you.

I was just offering my services, I've been doing family photos and decided to get into this field as well. The RX-8 you see there is a friend of mine, and wanted me to take the shots. About you getting these photos for free from other people out there, I can't speak to their quality, but I can stand by mine. Do you take your car to a free machanic with an issue, or you take it to someone you know is going to get the job done right?

That was the first car shoot of many to come hopefully, like I said, I'm just testing the market to see how much of a demand there is for these photos. But I have started my photography company and working on having a website created.

Stable isn't the term I would use, but that's not how models work. I get the job, then find out what type of girl you want for the shoot, go out and find several that fit that profile and you get the pick of those girls. These models that I'll be using aren't just random girls from craigslist. They already have a portfolio and are only taking paying gigs. Like I said before, just testing the market, saw this forum and thought classic long nose sports car would look great with a model across the hood. If the price isn't right, I can use a model that is trying to build a portfolio, that would cut the price in half. But you wouldn't have a choice in the girl.

I'm not trying to break any forum rules that you all have in place. Just wanted to offer something to your members that most car guys love. We see posters of cars and always want to showcase our own cars in that same nature. I've seen the advertising on the site and for what space I would be given, I wouldn't be able to explain the services provided. A forum discussion would benefit you cause we can openly discuss everything. If I crossed a line, the site operator can remove the post but I find it pretty harmless.

Your photography work is decent, but let me get this straight. You want to advertise your services on this forum but don't want to follow the rules? Also you stated that if you get out of line for not following the rules the mod can simply just delete your post?
How about you do yourself and the mods a favor and either follow the rules or don't advertise your "services"... |

Right now I'm running with the Canon 1Dx. It's their top of the line speed camera. Bought it with the idea that there would be more appeal for cars in motion. Since I've most been doing Family Portraits, I bought a 100mm Prime lens from the EF-L which is also Canon's top of the line lenses. I have a older lens that carried over from an old camera and it's a 75-300 with no vibration control, so it's most used on a tripod setup. Those would be the two that would be used for any type car shots. Looking to get another EF-L lens in the future if I had the need for it. With the feedback that I've received from this forum, I don't know if I'll make that jump yet.

I wouldnt pay $20 for a photo gig let alone you provide a girl. Maybe if you pay be $200 to shoot my beautiful car, we can talk.
The work is still amateur, there is no pop to the photo. All shots look oddly cropped, sample pictures are poor examples to show your work with given lighting, and Get a 35mm lens.. all shots are telephoto. Lower the ISO, use a tripod.. Cant tell but the model looks oddly cropped in there. The light feather around the body and hair has shadows from nowhere... |
