I can't figure it out; the car drives fine from gears one through three, but as I increase the rpm to about 3500-5000 rpm in third gear the rpm just cuts off, like the powerband just dies and i can't go any faster. Any Ideas? Thanks.

I had the same problem before...I put a new head gasket in...went for a drive and was like what the #@$% ....

I called a fellow 240 nut and he told me to check my MAF...

I forgot to plug it in...

Car ran like a champ after...so I would say to start there...if its plugged in then check all the wiring and if you have a friend with the same motor...borrow his and go for a drive to see what happened??
