If you are being cheap do not look into the RB.

Man, why dont you do some research first instead of asking straight out? You can start by reading the RB and SR Faqs, nobody will give you hands out in here. Search and you will learn more than anybody in here can tell you.

Why not go with a real motor and swap in a El Es Juan?

Maybe you should look into a gallo 12 or a gallo 24 motor for your skyline

Well because you didn't state WHICH rb I'm going to assume it's an rb20 because it's probably all you'd be able to afford.

1. Cheaper-An rb20 motorsets are generally cheaper than an s13 sr is.
2. Install-Both pretty much drop in without much effort. Wiring harness will probably be the most difficult part on either one and you could pay someone to splice a harness up for you
3. Technically speaking if you buy a complete motorset you could just drop it in wire it up, and be good to go. But as with any project such as this I guarantee you something will come up. Plan on extra expenses.
4. Both have some parts that will be expensive. However with the SR you can get most parts off the sr20de's that came in pulsars/se-r's. However RB parts are more specialized and therefore harder to find and often times more expensive.
5. rb20det stock-220hp s13 sr20det stock-205 With small bolt ons you can make a litle more power out of each.
