Just finished up my tubs. Sorry for the crappy iphone pics. I ended up cutting alot more out of the side than the first couple pictures show. Johnny Fraz (Stealth Custom Fabrication) seam welded the bay and welded up the tubs. This guy is an amazing welder and a great dude. I couldnt be happier with his work. Stealth Fabrication. , dude makes legit stuff.

i know tubbin' is a purpose to gain more steering angle and not rub, but what part(s) do you need to do so. Just wanted to ask since all the people here got em'.
Tie rod ends.. is there anymore i should look for?? |

^ thanks guys, im really proud of how it turned out. i could have done it without the help of some close friends.
sam_well: modified knuckles will give you the most steering angle. check out powered by max and ma motorsports. and your coilovers have nothing to do with ho much angle you can acheive. hope that helps. more tubs please! |

Question about tubs...I don't remember where, but I heard somewhere that you can not have tubs in Formula D?...I tired to research this, but the rule book is very difficult to understand. I did notice at Long Beach that a lot of guys just cut out their wheel wells as opposed to adding tubs.

just see where the wheel rubbed the paint off and hit those spots with a hammer.. that what i did. you should atleast unbolt the coilover from the shock tower. thats all i did, and i covered them for welding and paint.

O_O wow, lots of good work in here! Has anyone had problems with strength in the fenderwell? Does it need to be reinforced at all or is it strong enough just the way it is?
Currently debating on doing this to my S14. |

i dont think the fender well adds anything to that actual* integrity of the chassis. meaning....u can cut them out completely and it wouldn't be any less* strong...

Ok good too know. I wasn't sure being the coilovers are in the tower, which is close to where you would be cutting. I just didnt want something crazy to happen to me, such as my fenders collapsing haha

Tubs are only as hard as you make it. Cardboard and common sense are you friends. 9.5" rim. Your leaving out to much info, tire, offset, chassis. Don't be retarded. This is why we can't have nice things. Edit : Stealth Custom Fab FTW!!!! |

I made an L channel with a shrinker/stretcher and a sheetmetal break measured clearance with welding rod with a ton of caster and -1 to -5 camber with 18x9.5 -5 with a 245/40 on Roughed out a piece of 18 gauge with a power hammer using the L channel and welding rod as a buck spot welded them to the L channel semi finished product no body work just some sealer to keep rust down |
