Need help wid wide fenders
Ok i want to get 17x9 + 15 all around on a 89 s13 with 235/40/17 tires, problem is im gettin front +20 fenders.
Someone told me if i do that, ill have that sunken look and i dont want a sunken look. they also told me i should aim for 17x9 0mm offset. Will it be sunken wid 17x9 +15mm specification? i dont want to camber my wheels to fit in the wheelwell but what should i be aiming at? at any wheel recommendations? hard to find anything under 17x9 +15mm i dont want to go 18" but if there is anything in 18x9 or under that will make it flush im open dan

jebus christ!!! go get a basball bat and roll that mug out! or go bum an eastwood fender roller off someone and do a roll and pull! it dont look too nice..
oh yeah as for the question about flushness with over fenders... the answer is: spacers. you can put spacers to make it flush. but a +15 will reqire a roll in the back. so plan on it.

Still considering pulling, but can't find a fender roller in my area. I even contacted Tire rack (I think that's who it was) about renting a roller, but they said it was about a 6 to 9 month waiting list. Anyone know where you can rent one my area. (Tulsa, Oklahoma)

unfortunately i have fiberglass fenders the guy who i bought the s13 conversion from had them and they are kinda broken towards the bottom...
spacers / adapters are my last option if i can find a low 17x9 offset like 0 or 5 whatever then ill just get a 17x10 something i guess it probably be the same weight as a 17x9 + spacer or maybe more i dunno exactly. But seriously someone has to kno of some 0-10 17x9's? or equivalent? thanx for all info

So who do you know that will rent one out? I refuse to use a bat. I need to get this done asap, my tires rub in the back under hard cornering. Hopefully, I will have coilovers within the next 2 to 3 months.

well, iono if this helps. im the fronts, i'm running 17x9 +16 with 225/45/17 and in the rear 17x10+24. running 245/45/17. i would get smaller tires if i can...
here are the pics, before i rolled my fenders: here it is after it is rolled and pulled: dont really have any close up pics of it when its rolled and pulled, but i definitely dont think its worth it to go wide body for 17x9. i rubbed like hell b4 i rolled and pulled. hope this helps. nigel |
