Secret to not getting hassled by cops: don't drive like a fucking idiot.
Done and done.

I drove for a couple years in the city of LA (go to school at CSULA, lived between downtown and Pasadena, work in Torrance) with an S14 with front mount, fully gutted with cage (with dimple die gussets to the body) with bottomed out coilovers and only got pulled over once. And that cop didn't ticket me, or say anything about any mods.

Maybe it's different on the westside, but in the City, they don't give a fuck about that sort of shit.

Friends who got pulled over were always, 100%, driving like stupid children.

is there laws on it...over here we have recon where u have to have an inspection when u drop ur car put rims or exhaust anything and its a bitch to pass...so we get recon tickets which is only 70 dollars but its still a bitch

I think WLA is a good area less crime, never heard of car jackings out here,and If you like Asian foods there's many places to dine.There are alot of liberal hippies but I've never been bother by one so... But its your decision not mine.See if you like the area if not you can always move.

Also cops around here aren't too familiar with the car trend so you won't get hassled too often unless your really driving reckless. And most of the hippies live in Topanga.

I grew up on the westside. Don't worry you won't be able to drive anywhere that fast out here... too much traffic. My word of advice for food:
Bay Cities Deli - sandwiches on Lincoln and Colorado in Santa Monica

Apple Pan - Burgers and Pie on Pico near Westwood blvd across the street from Westside Pavillion.

I can't hang with Tito's for some reason. It was cool in HS, but after that I got over it.
I like Don Antonios on Pico.. WED nights 99cent tacos is ok.

Then again this shop is in South Gate, seems like all the good Tacos are around here.

well i just got here at five and ate new japan...pretty good took couple BR's now gotta worry bout finding a place to live and a car...im already fuckin home sick

Wow, this guy doesn't even know where he is talking about. the farmers market is in the fairfax/3rd streeet, which is not near santa monica...
second off there is a good meet on thursday nights at the costco at washington, and lincoln. just a bunch of friends get together there with their evos and vee dubs, and some subie guys too,

I like how i used to have a west LA meet, but none of you guys ever showed up.... prolly because none of you actually live in west la. thats too bad, maybe you can give someone helpful advice.
