I'm in the market for a new laptop and have no clue what the good brands are. I've read a shit-ton of reviews and all the laptops are starting to look the same. My budget is around $1000 give or take, and I don't want a Mac. I'm leaning towards desktop replacements or multimedia computers, so small computers are out. I have a Dell right now and would like a different brand for this next computer. I just want something fast as fuck while browsing the internet and multitasking. What do you computer guys recommend?

Define multi-tasking. Will this bed used to play games? Do you need a lot of space for music, movies etc.?

No games. I need lots of space for music and movies. For me, multitasking means multiple tabs up on FireFox with lots of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint docs up all at once while listening to music.
