r32 rb26 r33 rb26

How do you tell the r32 rb26 from the r33 rb26 other than taking the engine apart and looking at the crank collar?? Anyway to just look at it and tell?

I had a series 2 rb25....still had the short crank snout and ignition coils were a bitch to source. The series 2 also has the ceramic compressor wheel that likes to explode whenever it feels like. Go with the r33 rb26, or a JZ....

yeah, i knew about the crank collar. i have 8500 to spend on it, trying to save more because i'd like to do suspension, rims and tires, and brakes. been debating weather or not to go ahead and order it, and drop it in. then i start thinking about the 25 and having enough for the suspension as well.

All RB25 before the R34 NEO engine all have short oil pump drives.

All RB Turbos are Ceramic except Nismo Turbos

But just a FYI, some early model R33 RB26's came with short cranks as well.

Yes they all came with ceramic turbine wheels....but the series 2 also had a ceramic compressor wheel. I swapped a S1 turbo onto my S2 for this reason.
