hi i have been reading alot about t/c rods causing a clunk when turning at low speeds,i am experiancing this and i was wondering what two points do these rods connect looked under my car and compared it to the pics on pdm's site,is it the rod between the lower control arm and sway bar?? doesnt look exactly like this,are they hard to change any help would be appreciated..

The T/C rod connects to the front control arm, and this other brace/support.

check it :
The red bar is the T/C rod. (if picture does not work, copy and paste)

They are easy to change, 2 bolts on the control arm side (17mm) and one on the brace side (17mm) which is a nut and bolt, so you'll need another 17 open wrench to hold one side, while you unscrew the other.

Kid Zelda, are those stock TC Rods painted red?  Or some aftermarket?  I'm looking in to the East Bear TC rods, but I notice people are saying steering wheel vibration is increased.  Any info, do you have replaced bushings on your tc rods?  If so, how are they?

Yes, there stock T/C rods with whiteline bushing, a friend was getting a bunch of parts powder coated candy apple red, so I threw the t/c rods in for the heck of it, plus it melted the old bushing off.
Haven't heard any good or bad things about the east t/c rods.

I pressed in my bushings the ghetto way, a vise-grip,  hammer, and  breaker bar is needed  <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':laugh:'>   <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':thumbsup:'>
Or pay a shop $50-75 to press in the pair

Thanx alot that pic describes exactly,no wonder i couldnt find the,they arnt on my car ,actually i have 2 240sx(89) and missing on both sides both cars..is this common? i see the place they go but not there,will this really make a diff puttin them on?

I dont think the car would be drivable with out the TC rods installed

I've got the East Bear T/C rods.  Yes - vibration is MUCH more severe.  Every bump, crack, and pothole is transferred with wrist-shaking accuracy.  The trade off is more road feel.  The adjability isn't really good for much - but you will notice that the bushing is not a metal spherical one.  solid.  rigid.  Often annoying.

I love my pillowball t/c rods..  Turn in is much more precise, and control while turning is more solid.  front end just feels more planted.  It's very secure feeling.  I love them.

ok my mistake..these bars are alot bigger than i though was lookin for a much smaller bar,nowonder i couldnt find them..;( thanx for the help,now for a new set,should i order the complete bar or bushings and try and press them in myself?

you should probably just go to http://www.pdm-racing.com and order a pair (or two pairs if you have 2 240sxs) of their stock Nissan T/C rods with whiteline bushings pre-pressed in. <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

First, before you buy anything!!!!
I finally found the source of my steering clunk.  If you look at the bushing end of the T.C. rod, it is bolted to a large diagonal brace, almost a subframe.  The bolts that attach this subframe to the unit body had loosened on my car, causing the clunk.  Check these bolts, there are three at the front of the brace, and three at the back (two of the back ones are also the sway bar mounting bolts).  This may be your problem too?
